Baker Tilly is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our finance team. We offer the opportunity to grow within our practice and provide a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Position Overview
The Finance Officer will support our financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial processes, attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison with banks for financial transactions and inquiries
- Handle general administrative work related to financial operations
- Encode and post financial transactions accurately
- Prepare and process journal entries in the relevant accounting systems
- Prepare specifications for general ledger (G/L) accounts and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting
- Process and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate payroll and reporting
- Manage client billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Prepare payments to creditors while ensuring compliance with financial policies
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and utilization reports
Qualifications
- HBO in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Accounts or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial administration, accounts management, and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
- Knowledge of Twinfield is preferred
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and a proactive approach to handling issues
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
